Cosmetic Acupuncture
Mei Zen is a natural, non-invasive approach to improving skin health and overall appearance by combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles with targeted facial acupuncture techniques.
How It Works:
Restore healthy, radiant skin with a gentle, time-honoured approach. Mei Zen facial acupuncture enhances your natural beauty—allowing your inner glow to shine through.
Facial acupuncture is a gentle, natural therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that focuses on rejuvenating the skin and promoting overall facial wellness. It provides a holistic approach to skin care, supporting health and beauty from within.
Facial acupuncture works by stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms. It boosts collagen and elasticity through gentle needling that activates skin repair, improves circulation to revitalize dull or tired skin, and reduces puffiness by promoting lymphatic drainage. It also helps relieve facial tension, easing jaw pain and softening expression lines. At the same time, it calms the nervous system, helping to reduce stress that often shows on the skin.
This holistic treatment improves skin health from the inside out by stimulating collagen, enhancing circulation, and encouraging natural healing. It is commonly used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, dull or uneven skin tone, puffiness and under-eye circles, skin laxity, acne and blemishes, and jaw tension or facial tightness.
Fine needles are gently inserted throughout the face and neck. After a tranquil rest period, the needles are removed, and organic face oil plus a soothing mini facial massage leave your skin radiant and your spirit deeply revitalized. The entire treatment lasts approximately 60 minutes.
For best results, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture is initially recommended twice a week for five weeks. This intensive phase boosts collagen, improves skin tone, and softens fine lines. Thereafter, monthly maintenance sessions help keep skin firm, radiant, and youthful as it naturally ages.
This before-and-after features an actual patient at Acupuncture Heals, showing the visible softening of crow’s feet after completing 10 facial acupuncture sessions. With no downtime, she comfortably returned to work the same day—experiencing smoother, more radiant skin naturally and holistically. Results may vary based on individual skin type and response.
Facial cupping is another gentle, skin-rejuvenating therapy we offer to support healthy, radiant skin—naturally. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, facial cupping helps increase circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, and release tension in the facial muscles. Facial cupping promotes a healthy glow, reduces puffiness, and enhances overall skin vitality—all without leaving marks or requiring downtime.
Small cups are gently lifted and glided along the face and neck, following the lymphatic pathways. The session concludes with a soothing mini facial massage, leaving your skin radiant and your spirit centered.
Facial cupping is recommended once a week for an initial series of 4–6 sessions, based on your skin’s needs. This stimulates circulation and collagen production. Thereafter, monthly maintenance treatments help maintain results by promoting lymphatic drainage, reducing puffiness, and enhancing facial relaxation and radiance.

How It Works:
Benefits:
Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA) is a specialized technique that blends Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern neurology. It uses precise scalp points associated with brain function to stimulate the nervous system and promote neuroplasticity. Gentle, guided movements during treatment further enhance brain-body connection and support recovery.
Acupuncture treats pain by stimulating the nervous system and restoring balance to the body’s energy flow. From a Western perspective, it triggers the release of natural painkillers like endorphins, improves blood circulation, reduces inflammation, and enhances healing. From a TCM perspective, acupuncture works by clearing blockages in the body’s Qi (vital energy) along specific meridians. Both approaches aim to promote the body’s natural healing abilities and provide lasting pain relief.
