Not sure if acupuncture could help your condition?

Comprehensive Treatment for All Types of Pain Conditions

From chronic pain to everyday tension, acupuncture provides a gentle, natural way to relieve pain.
Here are some of the most common conditions we treat.

Back Pain (upper & lower)

Acupuncture reduces inflammation, relaxes tight muscles, and improves circulation—often helping patients avoid medication or surgery.

Neck & Shoulder Pain

Whether it's tension from stress or a frozen shoulder, acupuncture can help ease stiffness, improve range of motion, and calm irritated nerves in the neck and shoulders.

Headaches & Migraines

By promoting blood flow and reducing muscle tension, acupuncture offers a natural approach to both preventing and relieving migraines and tension headaches—without side effects.

Sciatica & Nerve Pain

Acupuncture can soothe nerve irritation and inflammation around the spine, helping relieve sharp, radiating pain down the legs. It supports better mobility and long-term relief from nerve-related discomfort.

Hip Pain

Acupuncture helps decrease inflammation and relax the muscles surrounding the hip joint. It supports recovery from overuse, bursitis, or wear-and-tear conditions like osteoarthritis.

Wrist, Elbow & Hand Pain (Carpal Tunnel, Tennis Elbow)

By reducing inflammation and improving local circulation, acupuncture provides relief from repetitive strain injuries. It's especially useful for carpal tunnel syndrome and tendon-related pain.

Muscle Strain & Sports Injuries

Acupuncture supports faster healing by increasing blood flow and easing muscle tension. It’s commonly used for sprains, pulled muscles, and overuse injuries in athletes and active individuals.

Knee & Joint Pain

Common in arthritis and overuse injuries, knee and joint pain respond well to acupuncture. Treatment helps reduce swelling, improve circulation, and ease stiffness for better movement.

What to Expect During Your First Visit and Treatment

Your first appointment begins with a conversation. Dr. Thao reviews your health history, current concerns, and wellness goals before creating a personalized treatment plan. Depending on the complexity of your case, treatment may or may not be provided during the first visit, giving Dr. Thao time to carefully review your information when needed.

Treatment typically involves the gentle placement of fine needles at specific points. When appropriate, adjunctive therapies such as cupping, muscle work, soothing heat, or mild electrical stimulation may be included to enhance effectiveness.

Many patients find their sessions deeply relaxing, with benefits that build gradually over time.
